ACTIVITY:
CANOPY OVER THE BAKER RIVER
Location: At the Lodge
Description: The aerial circuit and suspension bridge move north of the lodge facilities, entering a beautiful coihue forest and towards the banks of the Baker River to culminate with a "big jump" over the bay of the river famous for its great flow and turquoise waters.
Difficulty: Low
Includes: Instruction talk, safety harness, gloves and helmet.
Minimum age: 8 years old
Duration: 1 hour.
ACTIVITY:
HOT TUBS: A MOMENT OF RELAXATION
Location: At the Lodge
Description: Immerse yourself in an oasis of relaxation! Our wooden tubs conserve heat to perfection, allowing you to immerse yourself in warm, comforting waters, while delighting in the panoramic view of the Baker River and the lush nature that surrounds you. Our lodge has 2 hot tubs and a hydro-massage pool that must be reserved in advance.
Difficulty: No difficulty (just relaxing)
Includes: Hot Tub start-up service
Minimum age: No restriction. Children must be supervised by adults.
Duration: 2 hours.
ACTIVITY:
RAFTING ON THE BAKER RIVER
Location: Port Bertrand (3 km from the lodge).
Description: Rafting down the Baker River, the largest river in Chile, passing through class 2 and 3+ rapids. This activity starts at Lake Bertrand and travels the first 7 kilometers of the Baker River. Suitable for people and families who like adventure and enjoy nature, with professional guides who have experience and first aid course in force.
Difficulty: Intermediate (No previous experience required).
Includes: Bilingual guide (Spanish-English), safety and introductory rafting talk, full equipment and transfer.
Minimum age: 8 years old
Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.
ACTIVITY:
TOURING KAYAK ON THE LEAD LAKE
Location: Port Bertrand (3 km from the lodge).
Description: A 14 km kayak tour from Lake Bertrand to the mouth of Lake Plomo, if conditions allow it, you can appreciate the difference in colors of these two lakes that converge. If conditions are not optimal, you can reach Playa Blanca, where you can take a 10-minute walk to the viewpoint, where you can see the confluence of Lake Bertrand and Lake Plomo from the heights.
Difficulty: Moderate (it is necessary to be in good physical condition for kayaking).
Includes: Bilingual guide (Spanish-English), snacks and complete equipment for the activity.
Minimum age: 8 years old
Duration: 6 hours.
ACTIVITY:
LEAD LAKE BOAT RIDE
Location: Port Bertrand (3 km from the lodge).
Description: Motor boat ride to the Plomo Lake, where the boat is lowered depending on the lake conditions. If the descent is possible, a short hike is made to seek altitude and see the lake from above.
Difficulty: No difficulty.
Includes: Guide, navigation and safety equipment.
Minimum age: 2 years old.
Duration: 2 hours.
ACTIVITY:
TOURING KAYAK MARBLE CHAPELS
Location: Puerto Rio Tranquilo (70 km from the lodge)
Description: Kayak across the turquoise waters of the imposing General Carrera Lake, on the way we will visit the marble geological formations called: Chapel, Cathedral and Marble Tunnel. You will also be able to observe the native flora and fauna of Patagonia.
Difficulty: Intermediate.
Includes: Certified bilingual guide (Spanish-English), waterproof clothing, double or single kayak and introduction to paddling.
Minimum age: 12 years old.
Duration: 3 hours.
ACTIVITY:
BOAT RIDE MARBLE CHAPELS
Location: Puerto Rio Tranquilo (70 km from the lodge)
Description: Nautical excursion on General Carrera Lake, exploring the Caverns, Tunnel, Cathedral and Marble Chapel.
Difficulty: No difficulty.
Includes: Bilingual guide (Spanish-English), navigation and rain coat.
Minimum age: No restriction.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes.
ACTIVITY:
GLACIER EXPLORERS TREKKING
Location: Puerto Rio Tranquilo (70 km from the lodge)
Description: The Explorers Glacier is located 52 km from Puerto Rio Tranquilo, within the Laguna San Rafael National Park, during the trip you can appreciate the view of 2 lakes and a waterfall on the side of the road. You enter through the CONAF refuge, crossing the front moraine of the glacier for about 2 hours until you reach clean ice. Inside the glacier you walk 2 hours and 30 minutes app visiting caves, lagoons and ice formations.
Difficulty: Medium-high.
Includes: Transportation from Puerto Río Tranquilo, certified guide, personal equipment (crampons, gaiters, helmet and backpack), satellite phone and VHF radio, rescue and first aid equipment, hiking ration and snack, entrance fee to Laguna San Rafael National Park.
Minimum age: 8 years old.
Duration: 9 hours (6 hours walking).
ACTIVITY:
VISIT THE CONFLUENCE OF THE BAKER RIVER WITH THE NEF RIVER
Location: Entrance to the viewpoint, 10 km from the lodge.
Description: Only 10 kilometers south of Green Baker Lodge is the entrance to the confluence, from there you must walk 800 meters along a very marked trail with very little slope. You can observe the confluence of the turquoise waters of the Baker River with the milky waters of the Ne River, you can also observe the Baker River Falls, caused by the unevenness of the water courses that causes a jump of more than 10 meters high.
*Free entry.

ACTIVITY:
PATAGONIA NATIONAL PARK TREKKING
Location: Park entrance through Valle Chacabuco Sector (39 kms south of Green Baker Lodge).
Description: This National Park has more than 18 routes for all levels, within the best known are:
- Vega Trail (low difficulty): Circular route of 5.3 kms, it is usually covered in 1 hr. and 20 min. and has 95 m. of positive slope. During the trail you can observe guanacos and condors, it also passes through an old cemetery of settlers of the old cattle ranch that is now part of the Park.
- Los Carpinteros Trail (moderate difficulty): Route of 8.7 kms and 314 m. of positive elevation gain, which is covered in 2 hr. and 20 min. The trail passes through diverse vegetation and borders the crystalline Cochrane River, offering incredible views of the lake with the same name.
- Lagunas Altas Circuit (high difficulty): Circular trail of 20.6 km, it takes approximately 6 h 57 m to cover with a 955 m difference in altitude. The trail is dominated by steppe landscape, wetlands and views of different lagoons.
*It has a museum, open from Monday to Sunday (9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
Difficulty: It will depend on the route.
Duration: Full day tour.
ACTIVITY:
LOS MAQUIS WATERFALL
Location: Road to Puerto Guadual (33 kms from Green Baker Lodge).
Description: The trail is surrounded by an evergreen forest, where the lenga is predominant. The waterfall is formed by the Los Maquis River before flowing into the General Carrera Lake. *Entrance is free.
Difficulty: Low (Distance of 1.3 km - 75 m of positive vertical drop).
Minimum age: No restriction
Duration: 20 minutes walking at a moderate pace.
