Is it safe to travel to Patagonia from the U.S.?
Yes. Chile is one of the safest countries in South America. Patagonia is peaceful, remote, and welcoming. We’ll guide you through every step.
When is the best time to visit?
Our fishing season runs October to May. For rainbow trout we recommend October to December, for brown trout we recommend March to May. Nevertheless you can fish rainbows and browns all our season.
Do I need to be an expert fly fisher?
Nope! Whether it’s your first cast or your 5,000th, our guides will tailor the experience to your skill and comfort.
How close is the fishing?
Right outside your door. The Río Baker flows beside the lodge, so you can cast a line before breakfast or after dinner.

We welcome couples and non-anglers! Enjoy photography, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, rafting, reading by the river, or just disconnecting in pure tranquility. We have a complete non-angler program.
How do I get there?
Fly into Balmaceda Airport (BBA). We’ll pick up you there and drive you to the lodge (4 hour aprox)
