Great times, guides and food with the glacier blue waters of the Baker River providing wonderful fishing just minutes away. You have the opportunity to fish the very early or late hatch where other places you are in a vehicle traveling to or back from your destination. The variety of fishing from size 18 dries for cruising rainbows in many eddies to throwing streamers to boulders along the river shorelines or drop off was tremendous. The hot shore lunches with quality Chile wine were the best. I look forward to my next trip .

The Green Baker Lodge (GBL) is a fishing experience that is unforgettable in many ways. However, the one that most impressed me is how those guides work from sunrise to sunset, without a fixed or defined start/end times. You want to fish all day and beyond? Be their guest! If you add to that the amount and quality of fish that is in the area, is a constant fishing all day long. The accommodation is very comfortable, the food is superb! I had been two times in the GBL (January and November 2024) and for my son and myself this lodge has turn to be a truly must of the season. Patagonia is so special in many ways, and living a fishing experience on its very belly is an amazing way to connect with this impressive and (still) unpopulated place of the World. When was the last time you were fishing in a river without seeing any other boat (or soul) around you all day long? That`s how pristine and exclusive this place is. I hope to come back and enjoy it every season!

I went with my father on our yearly trip, and it was the best experience ever. Not only was the fishing outstanding, but the service was everything you could expect and more. I couldn’t think of a better father-son outing than this. It’s highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back next season.
